Privacy
Short version: Aqua Search is built so that there is as little data as possible to protect.
Searches
When you search, Aqua relays your query to an independent search provider and returns the results. Your IP address and browser details are not passed on. Aqua does not store your queries.
AI answers
To write an answer, your query and the top results are sent to an independent AI model provider. No account or personal identifier is attached.
Limits and abuse protection
To keep the service fair, Aqua counts requests per visitor using a salted, one-way hash of the network address. The raw address is not stored and the counters expire automatically.
Cookies and storage
No advertising or tracking cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser. Aqua uses privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic statistics from its hosting provider (Cloudflare) to measure page loads.
